Thoughts On Earth Hour

I sat and watched the sea and sky
A tide within me rose up high.

My heart echoed an ancient beat
I spoke to strangers in the street.

"I've cut the lights, blocked out the sounds
I've let my roots deep in the ground.

When I look up and gaze afar
I will be searching for my star."
